Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Where do you get your coffee?

Our beans come from several South and Central American countries and are roasted domestically in the United States.

Why our product?

Fresh is our promise. All coffee is roasted to order and is fulfilled within 24-48 hours. Our coffee is roasted in small batches to ensure you receive the freshest coffee possible.

A portion of sales goes to rabbit rescues. Rabbits have a 77% chance to be surrendered by their owners making them the #1 exotic pets in shelters. You will be able to give bunnies food, shelter and love with a portion of your purchase aiding shelters in need.

Is your coffee Fair Trade?

Our manufacturer creates direct-trade relationships with coffee growers using sustainable coffee growing practices.

These producers are passionate about soil prevention, clean water practices, and maintaining ethical working conditions for their workers.

Our manufacturers visit their coffee farms multiple times a year to ensure these practices are being followed.

Is your coffee vegan?

Yes. Our coffee holds a Rainforest Alliance Certification for all coffee. This means that there are additional regulations for sustainable practices for coffee production.

Is your coffee Kosher?

No. With the roastery being older, the facility is not able to sustain proper Kosher practices.

Is your coffee naturally flavored? How is it flavored?

Yes. Our coffee flavoring is crafted specifically for coffee and tea. All coffee flavoring is vegan, Kosher and contains no allergens.

I have a peanut allergy. Can I drink your coffee?

There is no trace or contamination of peanuts/tree nuts in the roastery. The flavoring used also does not contain any nuts, including our caramel pecan coffee.

How does Binky Bun Coffee help the environment?

Our manufacturer supports local farmers and gardens by donating the burlap sacks, coffee grounds, and chaff. When coffee is roasted, there is a bi-product named Chaff. Chaff is the husk of the bean that becomes separated when roasted and oxygenates the soil. Coffee grounds are used for composting and fertilizer. This also helps reduce waste into landfills.

Which rescues do you support?

At this time, we mainly support rescues local to the Chicagoland area. However, with our social media reach, we are expanding our rescue partnerships and will continue to grow our reach to be able to help more rescues and bunnies in need.
